“In Texas, we have a culture of shared responsibility when when it comes to safety programs.”

WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A SAFETY CHAMPION

“It all begins with you. You can be a safety champion or nominate a safety champion for taking actions to keep the Texas horseracing industry human and equine athletes safe.

Texas can be the premier state for horseracing. What we want to be known for is safety and integrity. Without safety as our watchword, we lose focus on how to mitigate the risks for a timeline Texas tradition: Horseracing.

Small steps taken daily to achieve the goal of becoming the safest state in the Nation for horseracing, one act at a time, can make all the difference.”
